1. About us

This website is operated by SmartSaver Energy (ABN 91 640 924 830) ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Refund and Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

3. Products and electrical safety

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately. Colours, images and specifications are a guide only; if a product is significantly different from its description, you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

Products that connect to fixed wiring (for example, smart switches, dimmers, in-wall or DIN-rail relays, hardwired lighting, thermostats and switchboard-mounted energy monitors) must be installed by a licensed electrician. Under Australian law, electrical work on fixed wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Do not attempt to install these products yourself. Plug-in products must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. Shipping charges are shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted. If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund any amount paid.

Payment is processed securely through our payment providers at checkout. We do not store your full card details.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods or confirm acceptance by email. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, if a product is unavailable or we cannot deliver to your address), in which case we will refund any amount paid in full.

6. Delivery

We deliver within Australia only. Dispatch and delivery details are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns and refunds

Returns, refunds and warranty claims are handled in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to section 2, our liability for goods or services that are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use is limited to replacing or repairing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or paying the cost of doing so. We are not liable for loss or damage arising from installation or use of a product contrary to the manufacturer's instructions or these terms, including fixed-wiring products not installed by a licensed electrician, except to the extent the loss is caused by our breach of a consumer guarantee or our negligence.

9. Website use and content

Content on this website, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied without permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Third-party apps (such as manufacturer smart-home apps) are provided by their developers under their own terms.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

12. Changes and contact
